A fantastically ambitious Digital and Live Art Initiative

The Pangolin Project

Our ACE project grant application for The Pangolin Project, a fantastically ambitious Digital and Live Art Initiative, has been successful. Thank you, ACE!

Six diverse female writers, Paula B Stanic, Nicola Werenowska, Olusola Oyeleye, Lucy Sheen, Chitra Soundar, and me, Kay Adshead, will abdicate comfort zones by writing, directing, producing and performing our own three-minute micro-epic films, exploring “How the Pandemic changed The World”, and two minutes of interactive live performance. In tandem, workshops, open to the public, targeted at the hard to reach, will create ten, 60-second Extreme Close-Up films, exploring “How the Pandemic changed ME.” The work will be publicly screened and shared on May 14 at The Alexandra Palace.

And if that isn’t enough!!! For your delectation – six esteemed artists, Adie Allen, Wendy Young, Howard Lee, (our token man,) Tiwa Ayeni, Vicky Ogden, and Raf, who have already created films (attracting between them over 40 000 views on our Facebook page) will also have their films screened, and create and perform two minutes of new, live interactive performance.

It is quite ironic that during Lockdown we seemed to thrive! Thank you for your kind support and encouragement during that time. More great stuff ahead.
